From the doorway we walk into a field at play. Bushes of blown out roses; rows of silly snapdragons; sweetpeas tumbling along a mesh enclosure; stock blooming but better yet, smelling Delicious! And lest we forget, a basket full of "throw-away's" not fit for market but fit for the hands of a young collector gathering, gathering, gathering.
And than there were the peonies, lined up to be dressed for market. So perfect and promising. Those left in the fields sunk in the downpour but somehow still looked lovely in their petal pools.
And one, left to soak up the sun.
